During the campaign various hints are provided that the sword was sold to Amn and that the buyer's interest might have been for the blood samples from the protagonist on the blade.
In Siege of Dragonspear the Sword is stolen from Gorion's Ward. The sword itself defies identification, likely forged specifically for Sarevok, to best focus the infernal energy he hoped to control. Gorion's Ward prevailed, destroying Sarevok's plans and rescuing the Sword Coast from the brink of war. Sword of Chaos +2The blade of Sarevok, brother of Gorion's Ward, used in the battle they fought in faraway Baldur's Gate. This weapon, purportedly the one wielded by Sarevok Anchev during the events of Baldur's Gate, can be found in Irenicus' Dungeon, where it is the reward for bringing the Genie's Flask to the enslaved Genie in the Plane of Air. 3 Sword of Chaos +4 (Ascension mod only).
